Tony Kosloski
Tony Kosloski is the artistic genius behind the design at Chestnut Street Studio. Tony bought the 1880 building on Chestnut Street in 1981 and then began a full renovation. Using his own hands and the generous help of friends, he was able to realize his dream of creating an artist's living space and studio of his own design, in the city of New Haven. Take time to enjoy the sculptures and the garden in warmer weather.
Tony Kosloski, born in England's West Midlands, is a graduate of Cooper Union, NYC (1971) and has exhibited throughout the east including The Aldrich Museum, PS 1, NYC, and the Kouros Gallery Sculpture Center, Ridgefield, CT.
If you've been in New Haven for a while, you may remember his large-scale installation on the New Haven Green, "Leftovers: 12 Changes" in 1976, consisting of 21 timbers each weighing 1/2 ton.
Tony has also shown his work at West Cove Gallery and Karma Gallery in West Haven, and Chestnut Street Studio and the East Wall/Westville, in New Haven.
He is a cherished advisor and support for all that we do.
